But, through my individual event in Business Professionals of America (BPA), Office Systems and Procedures, I learned how to effectively use Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I took this skill and applied it to my internship at Microsoft and my student program with NASA. Microsoft Office, overall, has been very beneficial to me.
I learned Java to get to know the basics of programming. Then, I started using Python to incorporate AI chatbots that could do things like diagnose patients based on their symptoms and let people know whether an item is recyclable or not. I also used HTML, CSS, and Javascript to create different websites for competitions and my own personal needs.
In my engineering class during my sophomore year, PLTW Intro to Engineering and Design, I learned and strengthened my skills in 3D design using Autodesk Inventor. Then, I used those skills and transferred them to my 6 month program with NASA. In this course, I designed and modeled tools for astronauts and a Mars rover for the final project.
I have hands-on experience with Arduino and circuitry, using microcontrollers to design and build functional projects. My skills include wiring circuits, programming Arduino boards, and troubleshooting hardware systems, allowing me to bring creative ideas to life with practical solutions. I have created various circuits, such as a random number generator, a miniature piano, and more.
I achieved this award by earning a passing score on both the AP Seminar and AP Research exams and also on 4 additional AP exams.
I received this award for helping the city of Frisco with various different volunteering events for 50+ hours during the summer.
I received this award for helping my community with various different volunteering events, such as litter pick-ups and marathons for 100+ hours from 2022-2023 & 2023-2024
I met the national standards for Centennial High School's NHS chapter and have become a member of the program.
At the State Leadership Conference, my team and I competed and were the first national alternate (4th place) for the National Leadership Conference.
I competed in Basic Office Systems and Procedures, achieved 3rd place at Regionals, and qualified to compete in the State Leadership Conference (2023).
I competed in Advanced Office Systems and Procedures, achieved 2nd place at Regionals, and qualified to compete in the State Leadership Conference (2025).
With a team, I competed in Web Application Team for BPA and we were national alternates for the National Leadership Conference.
This certification demonstrates my proficiency in essential engineering principles, including problem-solving, mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and safety procedures
This certification from Cisco demonstrates my proficiency in networking architecture, internet and computer network concepts, and configurations of routers, switches, and end devices.
This certification from LogixAcademy demonstrates my proficiency in the fundamental principles, technologies, and practices essential for protecting digital systems, networks, and devices.
I have received various certifications for website design/development demonstrating my profiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I have also received certifications in object-oriented programming languages like Java and Python.
Created web applications integrated with AI chatbots in Python using the Azure OpenAI model. Won second place in Microsoft’s team hackathon AI for Good by developing a prototype of an AI Doctor. Also, I participated in Microsoft 365 Toastmasters, developing important communication skills.
As the president of this volunteering organization, I coordinated many service projects such as litter cleanups, elementary school dances, food drives, marathons, and many more in order for members to not only gain hours, but also to make a positive impact on the community.
My team and I competed against other teams in the nation to build a model rocket that could reach a target altitude and other challenges. During this project, we learned the importance of the design process and taking time to carefully plan how the rocket would be constructed and launched.
Researched environmental conditions on Mars and the Moon and collaborated with a team to design and prototype a Mars rover using CAD software and the engineering design process.
Participated in a virtual multi-week experience of exploring 12 engineering fields through presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities with the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
Participated in a one week experience at UC Berkeley in order to learn more about engineering principles such as breadboarding, coding, and designing from the end of June 2024 to the start of July 2024.
